Hello, new to vmware ESXI vCenter. Always used the standalone vpshere app or web interface for administration.
I've installed a new Windows 2016 Standard edition VM, joined it to the domain (lets call that labs.xyz.com) and installed the latest vcenter 6.7 Windows installer.
It's installed without issue - If I load up the vcenter link, I've installed the login plugins required as well as enabled Flash for that only (as it moans about needing it).
I just can't seem to login whatever I try.
I've tried Administrator@labs.xyz.com and administrator@labs.zyx.com, in case it is case sensitive in the SSO. The password for this I am using the domain login, which works fine.
I've tried administrator on it's own, plus the SSO password set during the install process.
I've also tried using root, administrator and many other combinations, sometimes with "vmware" as the password, as some places online suggest this.
I've also tried the NETBIOS login, which is LABS\Administrator or LABS\administrator but that doesn't work.
I last tried vcenter about 6 years ago, much earlier version and not on a domain and had a very similar problem - so gave up then. Hoping someone can help with this please?
Every login attempt says "Invalid credentials" and eventually requests the sign in is closed and restarted.
