Does a VM only uses host resources or could it also uses cluster resources ?

Hello everybody,

I'm a begineer in VMware, and I wanted to know if a VM only use resources from its host or could it also uses cluster resources ?

Let's me give an example :

I have 5 hosts in a cluster. Every host has 16GB of memory.

Can i host, and power on a 64GB memory VM ?
