Avoid browser warnings when using the vCenter Web Client with a self-signed certificate

Does anyone know a way to stop the browser warnings using the ver 6 web client when using the default self signed certificate (other than replacing the default cert with your own generated one?

The below solution isn’t relevant to vSphere 6 it seems.
