we are migrating our production from 5.1 to 6.0 as support ends this year.
we have windows running VSC but we want to switch over to VSCA for DR purposes and one less license.
I have been googling and searching but maybe I'm not finding or using the right termonlogy...
I have found https://labs.vmware.com/flings/vcs-to-vcva-converter
which converts the current to an appliance version. but can this upgrade to such a jump? I only see 5.5
I'm dreading upgrading to 5.5 VSC... just to upgrade to 6.0 VSCA, would rather a simple easy step.
is it better to just build a VCSA and remove current hosts from VCS to add to new VCSA?
we have 4 hosts so we can migrate to get all upgraded without downtime or off-hours moving the 30+ vm's
any all help is appreciated. thanks!
send me links to read, or tips to search for, or write it out... I'm in the research phase so it needs done.
