I need a suggestion on upgrading the VMware tools version from version 5.5 to version 6. Do we require to restart the VMs after upgrading it. I am asking this question after reading the community link :- Re: Upgrading VMware Tools without restart
Also would like to know if VM hardware version upgradation to version 11 (vSphere 6) can be only done when my VM is down? Or can I upgrade it on the fly.
Any suggestion would be very helpful.
