We are a company that manages the IT services for a growing number of companies. We currently have Vsphere 5.5 set up in our data center that host about a dozen companies virtual servers or desktops. If it matters, we have 9 host set up to manage these.
We also have several clients who host their own vsphere set up and servers at their location.
A couple of them we have to set up a VPN connection and then remote desktop into their server to get to their vsphere to manage their servers (active directory/ exchange, etc. )
A few we access through a team viewer connection into their v-center server and a few we access through other methods.
I would like to know if it is possible to set up our on-site vsphere to establish the connection with the off-site locations to eliminate those extra steps to connect. Ideally, every client server we manage should show up in one list whether we personally host it or if it is off site.
If it is possible with a firewall set-up or any other type of connection, can you please let me know where to location the required port/ ip numbers needed to create the configuration.
